Do you think you have the right to...

Do as you like on the road?

Damn it irks me. Was on the LDP yesterday when I saw a Satria GTI speeding unnecessarily, on a busy road during rush hour tailgating other cars and squeezing in small spaces so that he can get 50 meters ahead in a faster time. Just because he has a 1.8 litre engine, with lowered suspensions and exhausts with diameter bigger than my hands does not mean he has the right to.

Personally, speeding gets you nowhere, expect to the same place you want to be perhaps a few minutes earlier, and a gas level indicator lower than what you would have if you did not speed. What with the rise of fuel price, aren't those people concerned about this?

I'm ranting because people like this refuse to think further or deeper than their need for speed. I'm ranting because one of those people who speed unnecessarily has somewhat in my mind murdered my grandma.

Damn, I don't mind if you kill yourself speeding. But it's when you injure or worse, kill others, that becomes a major crime. People like these have never stop to think about what they're doing could possibly destroy other people's life. What they need, is a real life lesson, to experience it all, and have it happening to their loved ones. I doubt people like this would actually repent even if it happens to them.

On a lighter note, I would appreciate it if anyone who visits my blog who knows me could do this for me.

What do you think about me in 5 words or less.

Just curious. :D . It'll help me discover the wonderful people taking time to visit my blog too.
Thank you very much.

Just read (or rather, viewed) a very unsettling post over at Paul Tan's automobile blog.

I edited this post, since it rather suits the 1st part of the content of my post.

What is it about?

Well, it's basically pictures of a car accident. Of a Kancil colliding with a bus. The result? Total mayhem.

Now, I'll describe some of the pictures here, in case you don't want to check it out. Those gore-loving people, head on to Paul's blog, and look for the post entitled Gory Car Crash.

Basically the driver was a male, and the 2 passengers were females. One of them was sitting at the co driver's seat, the other behind the co driver's seat. What happened after the accident was the roof of the Kancil was ripped off like a sardine can's top, and together with it the face of passenger at the co-driver's seat. What was where a face once was, is a tangled mass of red. What was more chilling was the fact that the driver survived with minor injuries, and a picture showed him looking over to his friend at the co-driver, only to discover her, literally faceless.

The unlucky friend sitting at the back of the passenger's seat was also affected. A later photo showed her perfectly intact body, but with newspaper covering the face. No prizes for guessing what happened to her. Perhaps if only she chose to sit behind the driver, she could've lived to tell the tale of the accident.

The fact is, the 3 of them in the car were university students, returning from a wedding. The accident happened when the bus braked, but the car couldn't in time. The fact is, they're just like us. The fact is, we could possibly be in the same position as they were.

I can't even start imagining the horror of the driver to be the sole survivor, to be responsible for the accident, the guilt he'll be carrying from this day onwards, and the trauma faced from looking to your left, and seeing your faceless friend.

If that doesn't want to make you stop speeding and be more careful on the road, click on the link and look for the pictures.

I know I wouldn't want to speed anymore.(Not that I always do...). So please, drive carefully and slowly on the road. Speed, as this accident demonstrates really do kill. If you think you car will take the beating in an accident and leave you a survivor, well..think again.

Agree on those tailgaters. Along Kesas, there're many of them, most of whom would swerve all the way to the left-most lane and speed, and swerve back into the right-most lane after overtaking some cars. Madness.
